A small chip today beats new glass tomorrow.

Caught early, most chips fill in one short visit. Often that is before the chip ever spreads into a crack. We tell you honestly whether yours is repairable.

Repair or replace?

A quick rule of thumb.

Every windshield is different, so this is a guide, not a guarantee. When you are unsure, send us a photo and we tell you which way to go before you commit to anything.

Usually repairable

Small, contained damage away from the edges and the driver's direct line of sight.

  • A chip roughly the size of a quarter or smaller
  • A crack shorter than a dollar bill, not at the edge
  • A single chip, not clustered damage
  • Damage outside your direct view

Likely a replacement

Bigger, spreading, or safety-critical damage that a repair cannot restore.

  • Cracks longer than a few inches or spreading
  • Damage that reaches the edge of the glass
  • Multiple chips or a starburst break
  • Damage right in the driver's sightline

How a repair goes

In, filled, and on your way.

1

We inspect it

We look at the size, type, and location of the damage and tell you honestly whether a repair will hold, or whether replacement is the safer call.

2

We fill and cure

We clean the break, inject clear resin into the damage, and cure it so the glass is stabilized and far less likely to spread.

3

You drive

Most repairs are quick and can be done at your home or work. We tell you the drive-away time for your specific job.

A repair improves the look and strength of the damaged area. A repaired chip may still leave a faint mark. We set that expectation before we start.

Backed up

Our repair, in writing.

We stand behind our chip repairs. If a repaired area does not hold as promised, the cost of the repair is credited toward a replacement, so the work is never money wasted. If insurance paid for the repair, that credit goes to your insurer.
